The Institute of General Medicine has equipped several medical practices in Schleswig-Holstein with communication technology. One of these practices is that of general practitioner Dr. Ulrich von Rath in Lübeck Travemünde.
In a pilot study, the quality of telemedical care of patients in rural areas is evaluated in these practices. Two telemedicine scenarios are currently being used:
• The video liaison consultation between patient, family doctor and another specialist, as well as
• the use of the Tele-Doctor backpack during home visits.
The NDR presented these two scenarios in the context of the contribution in the Schleswig-Holstein magazine vividly.
