COPICOH - Teaching: Healthy indoor climate

Students conduct case study on professional product development

In the CORONA pandemic, the importance of a healthy indoor environment through regular ventilation became clear. Many factors are important in creating healthy air quality: CO2, humidity, temperature, etc. In this project, a sensor-controlled system was developed to help decide the timing and length of ventilation periods by opening windows. Wireless IoT sensor nodes and a web interface were developed for this purpose. A dedicated role management supports especially medium-sized facilities (e.g. schools) without budget for professional air conditioning systems. More information and project work can be found here.
