Institute of Family Medicine in Lübeck evaluates new project TeLAV

The Institute of Family Medicine, Lübeck is evaluating the continuous use of a digital spirometry device in the home of patients with a chronic lung disease (e.g. asthma or COPD) in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in the project "Telemedical Lung Function App with Networking (TeLAV)". The data of the spirometers can be transmitted directly to the treating family physicians. The results of this study will be used to better understand not only the feasibility but also the influence of the measurements on the care of this group of patients.

The project is being funded for three years with 500,000 euros from the Security of Supply Fund of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.
