Jan Patrick Kopetz (IMIS) and Börge Kordts (ITM) give a lecture "Smart Care - Applications of Innovative Technology in Nursing" in front of about 150 nursing experts at the 1st Nursing Day Hamburg 2018, organized by the DBfK Nordwest e.V. in cooperation with the HAW Hamburg.

In the course of the lecture at the HAW Hamburg (University of Applied Sciences) first hurdles and opportunities at the interface nursing - computer science are described.

Among other things, the goals and visions of the projects ACTIVATE and Ambient Care (including the film about a typical daily routine) are presented. Following this, the master's thesis on the use of data glasses in the training of caregivers will be presented.

Finally, the speakers appeal to see innovative technologies as opportunities - the systems are developed as aids and are not intended to replace personnel. The feedback from the congress participants is consistently positive.
