Simulation of nanocommunication in cooperation with FEMTO-ST

Other research groups are also thinking about the networking of nanodevices: A research group from the OMNI team of the French FEMTO-ST Institute is investigating communication of nanodevices, similar to the nano-group of COPICOH. A cooperation suggested itself and already shows success with a first joint research result.

At last year's conference on nanocommunication (ACM NanoCom), both the Lübecker nanoresearchers and the French team led by Eugen Dedu presented their research results.
The teams soon became aware of the proximity of their research, so that in December last year a first workshop in Lübeck was arranged to get to know each other and to explore common research opportunities.

The collaboration is already bearing its first fruits: a first paper on improving communication in dense nanoworks was jointly submitted to this year's NanoCom.
The basis of the publication is a study with BitSimulator. The algorithms were designed and implemented together during many video conferences. Meanwhile, both research groups are working together on the simulation software.
