Special Day Digital Ethics

Prof. Andreas Schrader (ITM) gave a speech on Digital Ethics on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Sprungtuch e.V. in the BunteKuh family center in Lübeck on September 19, 2019, an invited lecture titled "Autonomous Assistance versus Assisted Autonomy" was held in front of about 100 guests.

The interdisciplinary symposium combined different perspectives from computer science, the social sciences, data protection and utilities for the implication of digital technical development on social coexistence.

In his presentation, Prof. Schrader reported on the developments and projects of the Ambient Computing Working Group at ITM with regard to autonomy, inclusion and transparency of human-machine interactions. With great participation, especially of young people, questions were discussed in the panel discussion "Understanding decency and utility in digital times".
