The COPICOH project PASBADIA was presented at the MIDL conference 2021

The COPICOH project PASBADIA was presented at the MIDL conference (Medical Imaging with Deep Learning) in June 2021.

For four years, doctoral research associates will work with master's students to develop solutions for ophthalmic examinations in general medicine. They are enabling smartphones through attachments for this task that would otherwise require specialized equipment. They are investigating the extent to which a general practitioner can support the care of eye diseases close to home using a diagnostic tool with artificial intelligence (AI). The goal of the project is to improve ophthalmic care in rural areas.

The Joachim Herz Foundation in Hamburg is funding the joint PASBADIA project of the two universities in Lübeck with around 1.3 million euros.
